How do I make my own wedding stationery, invitations?

  • IS IT EASY TO MAKE MY OWN WEDDING INVITATIONS?

YES - and fun to do as well. All our customers have thoroughly enjoyed making their own wedding stationery – they have found it very simple to do and are always delighted with the results. Many of our customers come via recommendation. There's always a 'WOW' reaction when we demonstrate the simplicity of the technique which creates wonderful and professional-looking stationery.

  • DO I HAVE TO BE ARTISTIC TO CREATE MY OWN STATIONERY?

NO - you just choose stamps from a range of ready-made scripts and decorative images. They provide the design work for you. Simply press the image into the embossing pad and stamp onto card or paper. Cover with embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat using an embossing heat tool (not a hairdryer – it is not hot enough!). The heat will melt the powder and the image will turn metallic.

  • WILL I NEED LOTS OF TIME AND PATIENCE IF I WANT TO MAKE MY WEDDING INVITES BY HAND?

NO – the process is very quick, and and a fairly simple design can be done in an evening or over a week-end (say, approximately 100 invitations). Even better, get some friends to help – have a 'Stationery Party' (but try not to drink too much before you start!).

  • WHAT WILL I NEED TO START MAKING MY OWN WEDDING CARDS?

Ready cut and folded cards, insert sheets and envelopes to match.

Script stamp and, if required, a Decorative stamp.

Embossing pad, powder and heat tool.

Access to a computer and printer for insert sheets (we supply instructions).

Coloured Mulberry Silk paper or plain coloured card/paper, if required.

Decorative scissors and punches, if required.

Embossing pen to write guests' names on place cards, favours etc., if required.

Making it even easier for you:

No cutting or folding of cards - just choose the size(s) required.

Our insert sheets are cut to fit each size of card – simply fold after printing and attach.

Our Mulberry silk papers, plain card and papers come in a large range of colours.

  • WILL I SAVE MONEY BY MAKING MY OWN STATIONERY?

You will be making HUGE savings. The cost of producing 100 invitations (everything included) is approximately £100.00. Further stationery such as 'Order of Service's, 'Evening Invitation's, 'Thank You's etc. work out even cheaper as you have the embossing pad, heat tool and decorative stamp. Just add on your chosen script stamps and stationery and, possibly, some more powder (although a little goes go a long way!).
